I upgraded using Preupgrade yesterday and it worked absolutely fine. To get rid of 'the whole preupgrade option'
1. As a root user, edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file and remove the lines which are something like this : title Upgrade to F14 root (hd*,*) kernel /boot/upgrade/vmlinuz initrd /boot/upgrade/initrd.img savedefault boot 2. Remove the directory /boot/upgrade too. I think thats it!
