I'm not sure if anyone has used AIX recently, but I feel strongly that we should learn from smit. By which I mean, a GUI being a simple front end for command-line utilities, and giving the user the ability to see the commands that will be run at the press of a button ( F9 ).

New users unfamiliar with the way Solaris does things get their pretty GUI, and if they want to learn the command line, it's a simple matter of pressing one button.
