My assumption based on documentation (noted: subject to change)
This would represent a temp change to pkg.depotd:
#/usr/lib/pkg.depotd -d /var/pkg2/repo -p 9999
This would represent a permanent change to pkg.depotd:
# svccfg -s application/pkg/server:default set application/port = 9999
# svccfg -s application/repo_dir:default set application/repo_dir
=/var/pkg2/repo
# svcadm refresh application/pkg/server:default
# svcadm restart application/pkg/server:default
This would auto start pkg.depotd (not required default unless changed):
# svcadm enable application/pkg/server:default
The default port for pkg.depotd is in fact 10000 is it not?
Is above an accurate portrayal of events required?
