Looks like the manifest for pkg-server was not imported because it's not located correctly, assuming you are running this on OSDP. If you are doing this on an existing system, the manifest is delivered as part of the IPS mercurial repository.
As root, run svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/pkg-server.xml. svcadm refresh. You can examine the contents by "svcprop pkg/server" The variable names have changed from what is described in the documentation. pkg/inst_root and pkg/port describe the location (i.e. application/repo_dir) and port. -Sanjay John Hawk wrote: > Command: > #svccfg -s application/pkg/server:default set application/port = 80 > #svccfg -s application/repo_dir:default set application/repo_dir = > /var/pkg/repo > #svcadm refresh application/pkg/server:default > #svcadm restart application/pkg/server:default > > Result: > svccfg: Pattern 'application/pkg/server:default' doesn't match any instances > or services > svccfg: Pattern 'application/repo_dir:default' doesn't match any instances or > services > svcadm: Pattern 'application/pkg/server:default' doesn't match any instances > svcadm: Pattern 'application/pkg/server:default' doesn't match any instances > > Something has changed from documentation. > -- > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > > _______________________________________________ > indiana-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss > _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
