thanks for the info evan, Im sure you are quite correct. however, as i "upgraded" zfs ver.
zpool upgrade -v This system is currently running ZFS pool version 11. I now have only the b94 (BE named opensolaris-2) that is bootable. the other versions dont like the rpool anymore. Ill check them for data and destroy i guess, jsut havent gotten around to it I think possibly the only data in /opt is an install of netbeans, openoffice and glassfish. so no great loss. err I mean rather not so tough to replace. I followed instructions in this forum to figure out beadm when upgrading from b86 the original install to b93. after checking that post (now: Revised instructions for updating from) i can see they have been updated to include unmounting the new beadm. Im kinda worried and gonna do a data backup I think cause i suddenly now (after reboot into new b95 install) have a "degraded" disk in the mirror that has too many errors to repair according to zpool. this is a brand spanking new machine and that disk has probably less than two weeks total uptime. so....arrgh hehe and I also cannot activate the new b95. itll boot but not activate. onward, I say!! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
