Try disabling ACPI on boot. There's another thread with T60 owners who had to do this to get it to boot and it sounds like it's panicing.

First time to try OpenSolaris, but I can't seem to get the install
CD to boot up.

From the initial screen to choose the type of boot (OS), I've tried
the 2008.05 default, or the one under it with a command line prompt,
but both of them stop at a blinking underline character after printing
the next three lines:
  SunOS Release 5.11 Version snv_86 32-bit

This is on a Fujitsu FMV-Biblo MF7/60R with 256MB of memory.

Thanks for any help, pointers, etc. Please keep me in the CC if this
is some list. I just got this address of off "http://www.opensolaris.org/
