This is the information I needed. THANK YOU very much. It's not as if I didn't look. Just a few days ago "http://www.sun.com/ software/solaris/opensolaris/get.jsp" listed the minimum memory requirement for opensolaris at 256MB with 512MB recommended. OpenSolaris could be a bit more friendly by offering a link to the system requirement page "http://dlc.sun.com/osol/docs/content/IPS/sysreq.html" directly from the OpenSolaris Get page. It took me four clicks _from the Learn icon_ to finally find the system requirement page. Unfortunately I was not able to find it last week when I started to try to install Solaris. ("Unfortunately" because it will be a few years before I have a computer with 512MB. Back to BSD, I guess.) Anyway, big thanks to the two individuals who offered help. I appreciate it. -- henry n. _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
