SUNWstmf supports the storage server (target) technology. SUNWiscsi, SUNWfcp, SUNWfcprt, etc, support the storage client (initiator) technologies for both iSCSI and fibre channel. In terms of requirements for boot, unless we're saying that it's imperative to be able to provide the boot target device as part of the LiveCD support, then no, SUNWstmf should not be required.
And just to be more clear, the iSCSI initiator still does not have a boot solution but it's on the way and the fibre channel initiator most definitely does have a boot solution, so both of those on the LiveCD make sense to me. - John _______________________________________________ indiana-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/indiana-discuss
