The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him/may Allah exalt his mention)
used to break his fast with fresh dates before going to prayer. When
these were unavailable, he would break his fast with dried dates. When
these were unavailable, he would take a few sips of water. (Abu Dawood).
He used to hasten to break his fast as soon as the time of the Maghrib
prayer - the time of sunset - arrived.
It also shows that the breaking of fast should be simple, not to be a
burden on the head of the family. Islam is very practical and simple.
Wish you all a good time ahead, let us reap the best out of it, O Allah
Subahan Wa T'ala forgive our sins and accept our fasting, and let us be
united.

Nor can Goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (evil) with what is better; then the
enmity between him and you will become as if it were your friend and intimate!
