Allaah [image: :swt:] has told us many virtues and rewards of the Qur’aan in
order to encourage us to read it and apply it in our daily lives. Thus, in
shaa’ Allaah, we shall discuss some of these virtues so we would get
motivated to study the Book of Allaah [image: :swt:].

1) Qur’aan leads to Paradise:
*“Indeed the Qur’aan guides to that which is most suitable and gives good
tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great
reward.” **[1]* <http:/#_ftn1>

2) You will gain inner peace and tranquility:
*“Those who believe, and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of
Allaah, verily, in the remembrance of f Allaah do hearts find rest. ”*
[2]<http:/#_ftn2>

3) It will be an intercessor for you on the Day of Judgement:

Abu Umaamah [image: :anhu:] related that the Prophet [image: :saw:] said:
“Read the Qur’aan, for indeed it will come on the Day of Standing as an
intercessor for its companions.” [3] <http:/#_ftn3>

4) The best person is the one who learns the Qur’aan:

‘Uthmaan [image: :anhu:] said that the Prophet [image: :saw:] said: “The
best of you are those who learn the Qur’aan and teach it to others.”
[4]<http:/#_ftn4>

5) Allaah [image: :swt:] gives honour to people through the Qur’aan:

“Verily Allah raises nations by this book (the Qur’an) and puts down (i.e.
destroys) others by it.” [5] <http:/#_ftn5>

6) You become from the elite of Allaah [image: :swt:]:

On the authority of Anas bin Maalik [image: :anhu:] that the Messenger of
Allaah [image: :saw:] said, “Indeed for Allaah the Exalted, are companions
from the people.” It was said, “Who are they O’ Messenger of Allaah?” Hesaid,
“The people of Qur’aan, they are the companions of Allaah and His
elite.”[6]<http:/#_ftn6>

And, indeed Allaah [image: :swt:] knows best
