Dear Everyone

This plant was photographed in the beginning of the year at periyar tiger
reserve. The tribals call it Kalyana Sougandikam and told me an interesting
story

Apparently Panchali ( Droupadi) wanted this flower and send Bheem looking for
it. Where he found the flower was also where he faced Hanuman...... and the
rest of the story is well known.

The fragrance of this flower is something to be experienced, pervades strongly
in the forest, greeting you long before you can come close to it.

best wishes
geetha

ps I have exceeded the byte limit. apologies
