Hi, Tabish ji, It appears to be *Mallotus nudiflorus* (syn. *Trewia nudiflora*) as per earlier Indiantreepix thread: http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix/browse_thread/thread/15958fe83e0eeee2, though there was some difference of opinion.
2009/4/14 Tabish Qureshi <[email protected]> > This tree was photographed near Bagdogra, Darjeeling distt in April. > Leaves are beautifully heart-shaped and the white figs (I am assuming > they are figs) have prominent stalks. > Any ideas on what it could be? > - Tabish > > > > -- With regards, J.M.Garg "We often ignore the beauty around us" Creating Awareness about Indian Flora & Fauna: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jmgarg1 For learning about our trees & plants, please visit/ join Google e-group (Indiantreepix) http://groups.google.co.in/group/indiantreepix?hl=en --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "indiantreepix" group.
