I think both the records point to the same author. A search for the name
'Puerari' yielded a single record in IPNI
<http://www.ipni.org/ipni/advAuthorSearch.do;jsessionid=3F00DEE7E7932926987F3989F322EF72?find_forename=&find_surname=Puerari&find_abbreviation=&find_isoCountry=&output_format=normal&back_page=authorsearch&query_type=by_query>and
JSTOR <http://plants.jstor.org/search?qtype=people&query=PUERARI&x=0&y=0>as
well.

Marc Nicolas Puerari 176*6*-1845

So the other entry may be an orthographis error.
