*Heracleum* *dalgadianum* S.M.Almeida, by classification must be "*grayish-
hirsute/hirtellus....atleast on the lower surface of leaves"* (Almeida, Fl.
of MH. vol.4: 354). But the one posted by Radha seems to be totally
glabrous. It can be either *Heracleum* *grande* or *Heracleum* *
aquilegifolium*. Based on the leaves, I stick to *H.grande* (Dalzell & A.
Gibson) Mukhop.
Meanwhile, Dr. Neil, One must be thankful to your Great Grand father, Dr.
S. R. Dalgado, who notably worked for bridging Portugese and Konkani
languages. I never knew he wrote on floristic aspect too ! I would love to
read his observations, please try to procure a copy and share.
