It is very interesting to note that KEW herbarium marked as type species of *C.
corindum* L. is very similar to what I see here - *C. helicacabum* L., a
very common herb (and we have only this one here, in Hooghly) -

Compared to above is a herbarium of *C. helicacabum* var. *microcarpum* Miq.

Flowers of *C. helicacabum* are very small as per Hooker, Haines, Prain,
compared with the photographs attached here.

I think this species is *C. canescens*, where leaves are (mostly) not
acuminate tipped.
