I too think this is not Schefflera. Had seen one Schefflera at Shillong in 
March 2009 in a village. This too had palmate compound leaves, posting the same 
separately.

In Flora of China It show that Schefflera hypoleuca has compond leaf with seven 
leaflets... Are they considering the hastate leaf of the plant as compund leaf 
? Or the plant is different? For your further reference i am attaching the link
