Dear friends, received Viplav ji's response in personal mail - in which I had queried about erandi / eramdi name of Z. oenoplia.
Viplav ji's response: "Eramdi" does appear as a vernacular name of "*Zizyphus oenoplia*" in the Flora of Gujarat State (vol. 1, 1978) by GL Shah. This word is spelt as એરમડી in the Bruhad Gujarati Kosh (Comprehensive Gujarati Dictionary, part 1, 1976) by Prof. Keshavram K. Shastree <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keshavram_Kashiram_Shastri> [*sic*], quite distinct from એરંડો / એરંડ of *Ricinus communis.* I don't know what exactly એરમડી denotes in the context of *Z. oenopolia*. This species is often known as બોરડીનો વેલો. Many thanks to Viplav ji for help with the names and information. Regards.
