Neil-- Sorry, I missed the photos (sometimes Yahoo emails "disappear"), but nonetheless, I was not aware that Oroxylum was endangered. Is this a recent listing? Due to habitat degradation? It is occasionally grown in Florida, USA as an interesting ornamental tree.
