I have only yesterday got the set of the 5th volume of Dr. Almeida's flora of Maharashtra which has covered palms. Would like to share that this palm is now known as Veitchia merrilli (Becc.)H. E. Moore. Origin of Philippine islands, it is cultivated in Hiranandani gardens,Powai, Mumbai also.
