Dear Dinesh ji, Great work, congratulations. I didn't hear this Malayalam name, but the correct English spelling for ചങ്ങല is 'Changala' means chain. If it's name in English translation 'cannala' is correct, then the correct Malayalam pronunciation or spelling is 'കന്നല' and I think the correct Malayalam name of this plant is same *കടൽ ചങ്ങല* '*kadal changala'.* With regards, Sam.
