That is why none of the databases are not 100 % perfect and reliable. Whenever I point out some mistakes in GBIF databases they just reply that it is the responsibility of the person / organisation uploading the data, not the GBIF. How can POWO and GBIF and other databases upload data with two accepted names for the same sp.?
