Thanks, Balmukund ji.
I do not think matches with images of Clematis occidentalis as per
https://www.minnesotawildflowers.info/shrub/purple-clematis

I also could not find its distribution in India as per Catalogue of Life

Dear Sir,

Please find attached, herewith, photographs of a species of Clematis
or Atragene . Please identify the plant species given in the
photographs or suggest any person who can identify it. In my opinion
it seems to be Clematis occidentalis but I need clear identification
from an specialist taxonomist. Photographs were taken from sohagi
Barwa wildlife Sanctuary, maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. I hope your kind
support will be there.

Kindly acknowledge the receipt and do the needful at your end.

With personal regards !

Sincerely,Your's
