Upper segment of petal much longer than the lower, midsegment of lip equal or slightly longer than the lateral segments - H. gibsonii var gibsonii Upper segment of petal slightly longer than the lower, midsegment of lip much longer than the lateral segments - H. gibsonii var. foetida.
