Dear All
If not mistaken this rating will also be a gain to the person who really share
his or her own knowledge, time to answer our querry. Because in the research
field rating of the person is also important. Of course this rating is for th
eresearch paper or research article.
Not sure whether my understanding abouthe mail rating is correct or not.
But any way how to do it?
Madhuri

Subject: [efloraofindia:54273] ... I gained some knowledge today.

Dear friends,

We have often got gladdened to get our IDs and queries resolved and then we
have
thanked all those who helped us.

Today, while searching through "Discussions" page of our group found that we
can
reflect our thanks in another beautiful manner ... by "rating" individual
person's post that helped us gain some knowledge OR helped us in some other way.
Of course, we need to take efforts to go to particular posts for rating them
...
it is left to our discretion to take that extra effort and rate the post ...
certainly another sincere way of expressing thanks to all those who helped you
gain knowledge.

Ideally rating is provided to:
1) a post that helped you by way of getting a direct positive answer
2) a post that got initiated by someone, and all OR some posts that followed in
response proved helpful

Rating is 1 to 5 stars ... may be perceived in any way, but certainly not in a
negative sense ... that is, 1-star rated post is not to be considered as a poor
post.
Instead, you may decide to rate it as 1-star because that post too helped you
to
a certain extent ... and so on, 2, 3, 4 and 5 stars, just according to your own
reasoning.

To rate any post is voluntary, not obligatory, is purely confidential.
But your rating will decide the quality of gaining and sharing knowledge in
this
group ... and likely that our group's activity may show up realistically as
high.

Happy posting !!
Regards.
