Female is larger and yellowish/cream surface color (under) with pale (mostly orange) bands when compare with males which has white surface color with darker bands.
Yes one major distinguishing feature is in the fore-wing; in males the upper wing is suffused with blue, which is not clear from the pictures. But field experience with some butterfly people helped in distinguishing the male and female in the pictures.
