Dear Garg ji:

we all suffer from the same problem...
life gets filled with time consuming efforts and demands of family
work study..etc..

I am not sure there needs to be a time frame when the database and
hence the site will be ready etc...

as far as I am concerned it took billions of years for this earth to
develop, million or so for the homo sapiens to be fully functional
and Goethe and NON_BOTANIST botanist who started organizing the
hierarchy of plant forms and lived only about 200 years ... and
started this phenomenon of botany study by lay people..( that's at
least I think of as our heritage genetically and spiritually)

so I am not sure if a year or two more to document the Indian flora
makes that big a difference..

I did not say that ( ie do not rush, there is no hurry ) when
Turmeric was patented in USA , we went tooth and nail... ours was one
cog in the wheel that got it overturned...

but in this instance.. patience and delay may be to our
advantage...

no need to co-own...

I feel ownership only by being able to contribute whatever ((and most
members I am sure feel the same.)) .. ... to this group forum...

good design ideas and how to execute will come up...

we need best keywords and best labels for the figures and write
ups.. so that google or other search engine can find us...

AND look into copyright law and intellectual property law since so
many contributors are concerned...

Even though I post my best pictures.. and best series...and I give my
personal observations technical information etc and stories freely...
I feel sometimes that copyright etc may be a concern for some
photographer people and members here when they only post hazy pictures
or just one picture... or when they dont want to answer my questions
here about uses etc... and ethnobotany... I can cite you several
examples where my questions have not been answered... sometimes even
when I say "Please respond" .... se la vi...

so my opinion is:

let time trickle and shift things out..

IN THE MEANTIME I WISH YOU WILL GO OUT AND DO WHAT YOU LOVE BEST...
ROAMING IN COUNTRYSIDE AND PHOTOGRAPHING ... that's how I came to know
your name... from photos at wikipedia....

I honor all your efforts in starting and sustaining this
organization, to document Indian flora...

Spiritually, it seems to me that you are a Fifth ray type soul and
hence your soul feels this need to establish this group and the
website concretely .. as an organization that would outlast us and
our next generation.... as a service to humanity... to establish it
as a thing of beauty FAST... fast...

And yet there is time...

I guess I have said more than you perhaps want to hear... it so,
sorry...

But, be well and do what brings bliss, in words of Joseph Campbell....
