Thanks Gurucharan ji, these are the types of exuberant leaves that I have seen in NYBG and even in my own garden... way back when... that's what I was after... to match up with my memory...
Pankaj: dont remember the exact history... but there are several books on Plants of the bible, may be your library has some.. if you find it , xerox the page and send it in, I would love to see the history...I dont have access to such rare books here in Kolkata...
