Yes this is different from *C. **carandas. *in . *C. carandas* the leaves are elliptic or oblong with a round or slightly cordate base as against the ovate leaves with slightly acute or cuneate leaf base. The inflorescence in *C. carandas* is slightly puberulus and here it is glabrous. *C. carandas* is a much bigger plant when compare to *C. spinarum*
