Thanks Garg ji and all of you. It is my pleasure to be part of this group. I have learnt so many things in the last year.
I have gone through Garg ji's collection on wiki many times and always wonder how much time and effort he must have spent. Every time I see a Senna sulphurea I remember only Gurucharan ji and his penchant for mite details. I keep counting the leaflets every time I see it, to see if the pair count is less than 7, but I did find on one tree it was 7. I am awed by the collection Dinesh ji has. Similarly I recollect every one of your suggestions. Initially I wanted to identify only trees on the streets and the gardens. Then I saw its worth exploring Lalbagh to look at the beautiful specimens there. I am going almost every other week there, and find at least 10 new trees. I spend walking almost 2 hours almost every day, looking at the trees at various stages. It has become more an obscession for me. I enjoy looking at the fruits turning from green to various colors, leaves turning from various colors to green, and the various stages of the flowers. It has been a wonderful experience for me to look at the trees. MyCollection - Total: 368 Family: 70 Genus: 215 Species: 337 Images: 7458 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43406542/Flora%20and%20Fauna/Trees.html I thank all of you in this group for educating me with various details. I will continue to upload photos so it will be of some use to at least somebody on a long run. Thanks, Raman
