Hi Neil, yes, and the other difference according to some sources is the leaf margins. C. graveolens is described as having crenate leaf margins, whereas C. ovata according to some sources has entire leaves. The pics posted here show crenate leaves. See also the Biotik website which shows C. ovata (esculenta) with closeups of the leaves. They are quite different.
