inhibitor of aids viral replication...
those interested google "pokeweed mitogen"  the pokeweed lectin...  and
look for immunology journals..

ps was considered to be teratogenic for handlers of this plant parts when
large amounts were collected for analysis etc...  i think purdue folks  had
some write ups if i am not mistaken...
