It really makes me laugh when I read something like the above. The Internet and Intranet have been put up as some sort of magic wand and technological cargo cult. Currently, most of the companies in the advanced and developed western economy are having problem trying to understand and effectively deploy the Internet, Extranet and Intranet. They are floundering in trying to understand these new technologies because the real issues are not about technologies but about how to manage content and its relationship to business collaboration and processes. Content is king on Internet, Extranet and Intranet. Most companies are still stuck in the paper world, not the online world. Can you imagine Indonesian companies coming to term with content. They don't even know what it means. Indonesia has no culture of creating, publishing, managing and distribution quality content freely and collaboratively. For example, most companies in Indonesia don't even have a proper management reporting system that is transparent and factual. Most of the company reports are a sham and fraud. TRUTH is a scarce commodity in Indonesia. Dream on baby.
