The "type" tag definitely looks familiar, as we have other measurements that 
use this tag. I suspect that one of our data feeders might have a thread-safety 
issue, and perhaps corrupted its own buffer, although this is the first time in 
over two years that I've seen this.

Unfortunately I can't drop measurements by regex 
(https://github.com/influxdata/influxdb/issues/4275) but I was at least able to 
drop the series in them:

I'll have to keep working on a way to drop the measurement, since these strange 
names are confusing Grafana's autocomplete.

It will be interesting to see if any new series appear in those measurements, 
or whether it was a one-off, freak occurrence.
