I'm trying to insert some performance metrics that are collected using another tool (no ability to re-name the metrics)
the line feed protocol i'm currently at, after reviewing the documentation, is this: insert Metric_win2k12\ -\ Server\ 2012_VMware\ VM,dsn=win2k12\ -\ Server\ 2012_VMware\ VM Free\ Capacity\ GB\ for\ C:\=37.618,Total\ Capacity\ GB\ for\ C:\=149.656 1479899540000 1 measurement name, with some spaces, and 2 fields, but the fields end with a backslash \. I believe it is interpreting the backslash as an escape for the = sign, but that is not my intention. The documentation says double and single quotes can Never be used in the line protocol, so how would I insert this data, as is, into influxdb? The documentation says backslashes don't need escaped unless it's for space, equalsign, or comma, but since this backslash in my field name, comes immediately before the equalsign for the field value, i'm not sure how to handle this. Measurement name: Metric_win2k12 - Server 2012_VMware VM field names: 1. Free Capacity GB for C:\ 2. Total Capacity GB for C:\ tag:dsn, with same content as measurement name. Thanks for any help that can be provided. -- Remember to include the version number! --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "InfluxData" group.
