Hi:
I wrote, because I have a problem with my backup proccess.
First, I have my database NOT_OK(when I execute dbverify)
and when I execute the dump proccess (level 1), the proccess tries to define
the volumes that need to be backup them, so...I wait 8 hours, and the dump
proccess didn't start to show the vol list, and less to start the write
tape
proccess.
But if I execute the dump level 0, I don't have problems!!!
I realize myself, that the buserver proccess on the machine is very
hard, and heavy for CPU. It's the proccess havier than others, and the backup
proccess is a regular CPU load.
I did try to shutdown the buserver instance, stop the instance, and,
always, if I try to do a dump level not 0, I have the above problem.
I don't know what happend.
If It's useful, I work with Dec Alpha Workstations and servers, with
OSF 3.0. My AFS version is the 3.4a.
