You can use the sdsadmin(1M) utility to create multiple partitions on a
single physical disk.  (The sdsadmin utility is intended for striping,
but you can create a degenerate stripe that only spans a single physical
volume).  See the man page or email me directly for more information.

(I have used sdsadmin on an HP 9000/735 running HP-UX 9.05A without problems).
