We tried running fms to get the tape capacity and EOF mark size for a
Quantum DLT 4000, 10GB density, no compression. We are running AFS 3.3a;
the servers are Sun SparcStation 20s. After running for 9 days, here's
what we got:
fms test started
wrote 623486 blocks
st1: Error for command 'write', Error Level: 'Fatal'
Block: 0 File Number: 419880
Sense Key: Volume Overflow
End-of-Media Detected

Does anyone have the numbers for a DLT 4000 in either 10GB or 20GB modes
with no compression? If not, I'll try and derive the numbers from the
information above.
Thanks in advance.
