We use the Ross hyperSparcs here at Lehman with no trouble.....
The Ross CPUs have been virtually 100% compatable with the SPARCs and we
do use the Ross stuff with AFS in many of our heavily loaded systems.

(My workstation is a SS10 using 3 90mHz Ross CPU and AFS, never had a
problem with the combo.)  {;-)} 

One thought, make sure the entry below is in /etc/name_to_sysnum:

afs                     105
