We are migrating several hundred megabytes to AFS this coming year.
Many of the files we will move are under RCS control. We have
had permissions problems checking in files which are updated by
multiple users. There is allegedly a set of TransArc-supplied RCS
binaries which work correctly under AFS for SunOS 4.1.X, but
I also need binaries for Solaris 2.X, Linux, and Irix 5.x.
Looking through the strings output, the TransArc RCS binaries
we have appear to be built on RCS version 2.2 or 2.3 sources.
I was hoping someone on this list had encountered and resolved
this problem.
Even an "It works just fine for me" with an accompanying RTFM pointer
would be helpful.
