Hello,
When putting on AFS a package containing the SUN CDE answerbook I have
found that they create corrupted stuff in AFS just by creating directories
with a "$" in the beginning of the name like

$ContentsDBDEST  $PostScriptDEST $IndexDEST

and symbolic links to these files that in the cdrom are

ContentsDBDEST -> $ContentsDBDEST
IndexDEST -> $IndexDEST
PostScriptDEST -> $PostScriptDEST

appear on AFS as

./ContentsDBDEST: No such device
./IndexDEST: No such device
./PostScriptDEST: No such device

 This is extremely easy to reproduce.
I thought that it treats the symlinks as mount points but if I try

fs rmm ContentsDBDEST
I get
fs: 'ContentsDBDEST' is not a mount point.

 Any idea on why this happens and how to fix this "feature"?

                            Best Regards
