We have the same problem at our site.  Its not just CDE, its
Interleaf files and occasionally plan ascii files.  We have
reported this problem to Transarc on several occasions.  A
salvage of the file and/or volume does not fix the problem.  We have
been unsuccessful in removing these type of "corrupted" files.  What
we end up doing is creating a new volume, move everything we want
into it and then delete the old volume containing the non-removable
files.  Pretty bad huh.
