There is a wonderful wonderful awful solution to the problem of using
pkgadd under AFS.
The OpCom group at Sun cooked up a special library for us that fakes out
the ln libc call. Every call to ln is turned into a symlink call.
We then change LD_LIBRARY_PATH to find this library before libc, and run
pkgadd.
Should I ask Opcom what the redistrubution rules are on this library?
Has someone a better solution?
(It should be noted that there was a report of a large pkgadd that
didn't do sym-links (the X pacakge) hanging when used with this library,
but I've not reconfirmed this report.)
