afs on Irix 5.3 Onyx MP machines

        We just loaded AFS 3.4 on our Onyx MP machine ( client) which is 
running Irix 5.3. It has kernal panic'ed about 5 times since then.
        Is anyone running afs sucessfully on this platform?     
Any assistance would be appreciated as we have both our sgi video servers
down because of this.
