On Monday (1 April 1996) I loaded the new AFS 3.4a port for IRIX 5.3MP onto
our 4-processor Onyx. If anything the machine has been more stable than it
ever has been. Performance has been greatly improved over the AFS/NFS
translator solution we were using before. I have been watching the machine
very closely and have not seen any instabilities, even after running my
guaranteed-to-kill-AFS tests developed from experience over the last couple
of years.
