If it is safe to remove these accounts and groups, why are they there
in the first place? They don't seem to add anything, and it just makes
it more confusing to setup DCE. Why not just limit the accounts and
groups to those that are necessary, and not include the rest?

See, that's the problem. We (or at least I) don't know what is
necessary, and what is not. If we knew that the registry only
contained accounts and groups (and organizations) that are necessary,
you wouldn't get questions from users like this, and we would know
from the very start what our limitations are. Please think about this
for future releases. Thanks!
