I would like to announce the release of AFS 3.4a (Base Configuration 5.00)
for Solaris/X86 2.5.1. This distribution can be obtained by an AFS Site
Contact in the directory

  /afs/transarc.com/public/afs-contrib/bin/sunx86.client/sunx86_55/afs34a.5.00

(This person has to authenticate to the 'transarc.com' cell, of course).

The AFS kernel module (/kernel/fs/afs), cache manager (/usr/vice/etc/afsd),
and clients utilities (klog, tokens, fs, pts, etc ...) appear to be
functioning correctly. Although the server executables are available, I
have not verified its functionalities. Please let me know how useful this
distribution is to your site.

If you are using Solaris/X86 in your environment, please let me know the
number of clients/servers using this port. Thank you.
