Recently, there have been a number of inquiries about Microsoft's use
of the term DFS to refer to its new file system. As many of you have
pointed out, unfortunately, this has created confusion among our
customers. To clarify, DFS is a trademark of Transarc Corporation.
The product to which Microsoft has referred as "Dfs" is not related
to Transarc's DFS product. In fact, there are a number of important
technical differences between the products which have been
enumerated in prior postings to this bboard.

If you have any additional questions about this matter, please feel free
to contact me directly. Thank you for your continued interest in our
products!
