I'm pleased to (finally!) announce the release of version 1.1 of the AFS-Kerberos 5 migration kit. Features of this release include: - Support for Kerberos 5 1.0.4 - Many new bug fixes and features - The ability to have a Kerberos realm name that is different from your AFS cell name (special thanks to Von Welch at NCSA for doing this work). If you're not familiar with the AFS-Kerberos 5 Migration Kit, it's a set of patches, programs, and instructions on how to use Kerberos 5 instead of the AFS kaserver. You can get the AFS-Kerberos 5 Migration kit from two places: FTP: ftp://ftp.cmf.nrl.navy.mil/pub/kerberos5/afs-krb5-1.1.tar.Z AFS: /afs/transarc.com/public/afs-contrib/tools/afs-krb5.1.1.tar.Z Attached to this message are two MIME pointers to the above files. If you have a MIME-compatible mail reader, you can use these pointers to retrieve the above files. If not, you can do it the old-fashioned way :-) I'll be speaking at Decorum this year about the Migration Kit, so if you're curious about it, please attend my presentation! If you have questions or comments, please don't hesitate to drop me a line. --Ken
