I've seen this once or twice. The problem I had is that I had a mount
point for a volume that explicitly included the cell name somewhere
after the /afs/.foo.com/ (this may be the mount point for the volume
itself, or any intervening volumes.) Try re-creating the mount points
without specifying the cell, and just letting it default the the cell
of the parent dir.
