I'm sort of surprised this hasn't come up before (perhaps noone else
uses uss?)...
We now wish to create more than one volume per user when adding a user,
which we do with uss templates. However, the man page for uss says that
there can be only one 'V' line per template file, and indeed, multiple 'V'
lines are not handled well at all.
In fact, it appears that while a 2-V template file will correctly create 2
volumes with the right names, things get confused from there - while the
first volume is mounted in the right place with the right ACLs, quotas get
set incorrectly(!) on the first volume, and the second isn't mounted at all.
This is at least a defect (if it's going to fail, it should do so by not
honoring all but one of the 'V' lines).
What's the reason (perhaps clouded in history) why it's hard to make
multiple volumes from a uss template file? How does everyone else handle
this?
Thanks.
